No jokes, no japes, no humour this time. One thing I’ve learned over the last few months following Russell is his capacity to misattribute and obscure sources. Along with his blatant cherry-picking of content, often from within a single source, and relying on opinion writing as if it was news journalism, it is clear that, despite his protestations, Russell Brand does not care for any standard of journalistic integrity.

Why Won’t The Mainstream Media Talk about This???!!!!!
This post was written, in part, as parody of Putin apologist Yanis Varoufakis. As such, it does present some of his arguments, even if it is tongue and cheek. Basically, when Yanis appeared on Russell’s YouTube channel he managed to “condemn” Putin by simultaneously parroting a whole bunch of the Russian toss-pot’s bogus talking points on Ukraine.

Twitter and Facebook blocked, independent broadcast media shut down on pain of arrest, outside broadcast media jammed! What happened to all that concern over censorship?????
Suddenly a corrupt political class, supported by billionaire robber barons and a compliant media aren’t that big of a deal, when it happens in Russia?
Why is Russell not talking about these things when they so obviously happen in Putin’s Russia, even as he always makes tenuous claims that they happen in the west?
